MI5 LOSE TOP SECRET PLANS TO ITS THAMES HOUSE HQ IN LATEST GOVERNMENT DATA BLUNDER

MI5 HQ Thames House, London

In the latest data 'blunder' to strike the New Labour regime, MI5 lost the architect's blueprint to its Thames House HQ, situated just yards from the Houses of Parliament.

The 'lost' 66-page dossier of floor layouts was once used by 'trusted' building contractors at the supposedly high-security HQ nestling by the side of the Thames. The detailed blueprints were handed in to the News of the World newspaper by a worried member of the public, who obtained them from a friend who worked at the building and never handed them back. It is not known if this person is subject to a criminal investigation nor is it known if copies have been made of the documents.

The architects' drawings detail 11 of the 13 floors at Thames House. They reveal lift shafts, ventilation pipes and other sensitive areas thought to be ideal for secreting bombs and/or spy surveillance devices to eavesdrop on the eavesdroppers. The plans also show the detailed location of fibre optic cables that transfer electronic data between departments and this intelligence would be a real dividend for expert computer hackers - tantamount to an open door invitation.

And drawings outline the offices used by the most senior staff including the Director General Jonathan Evans. The offices of high ranking MI5 officers contain the most sensitive information critical to the defence of their realm and yet they cannot even hold onto the blueprints of their own HQ.

This revelation is also particularly shocking to the editor of News Alliance in that he has been refused the Government service record of his uncle by the same MI5 officers repsonsible for this latest data blunder which could have endangered the lives of thousands of innocent civilians. There is clearly something terribly wrong at the very top of British 'intelligence'....
