Information Commissioner orders sexed-up WMD draft dossier on illegal Iraq war to be released

  • Blair, Campbell and MI6 boss should face criminal charges for their leading role in fabricating non-existent 'threat' of WMD

Those pernicious Weapons of Mass Deception have now backfired on Tony Blair, Alistair Campbell and MI6 boss John Scralett. The Information Commissioner has rejected the regime's spin of 'national security' to prevent diclosure of the draft dodgy dossier that led to the illegal invasion of Iraq and the resulting deaths of tens of thousands of people.

New Labour's hapless and hopeless Ministers were under mounting pressure last night to publish secret details about the ' sexed-up' dodgy dossier on Iraq that took Britain into the illegal Iraq war at America's behest. The draft version of the dodgy dossier is known to be even more dodgy than the version released to the public and which eventually cost the honourable Dr David Kelly his life.

The Information Commissioner has 'ordered' civil servants to release hitherto undisclosed emails and memos about a draft of the dossier which supposedly set out the 'threat' posed by Saddam Hussein's non-existent WMDs.

Richard Thomas completely rejected the New Labour regime's claim that the comments - kept under wraps during a three-year legal battle - could jeopardise 'national security'. But in reality there is no truth at all in the 'national security' ruse, which is wheeled out every time the regime gets into difficulty over its replete illegal activities under Blair and Brown.

The Commissioner said it was clearly in the 'public interest' to know what alterations to the dossier were proposed in the days before it was published. And further investigations should also be made to ascertain the extent of the 'cooperation' between Alistair Campbell and his good-friend John Scarlett, who was later appointed Controller 'C' of MI6 as a reward for spinning the dodgy dossier.

And the Commissioner believes the undisclosed material could provide '
evidence that the dossier was deliberately manipulated in order to present an exaggerated case for military action'.

Lord Hutton's 'inquiry', which has been widely ridiculed as a manifest whitewash, into the murder of government scientist Dr David Kelly, heard that last-minute changes to the draft were suggested by Tony Blair's propagandist Alastair Campbell, and subsequently adopted by the lame heads of MI5 and MI6....

Dr David Kelly was silenced by the corrupt Blair regime to stop him from speaking out

The dodgy dossier was published by the then Prime Minister to set out his regime's 'case for war', which began in March 2003 and has proved to be a titantic disaster. The discredited dossier claimed the Iraqi dictator was stockpiling weapons of mass destruction but this was later revealed to be a complete falsehood.

The tarnished document also claimed that Saddam could launch devastating chemical and biological attacks on British military bases within 45 minutes of ordering a strike. This led to claims that it was inserted by Mr Campbell to bolster the justification for war and similar allegations were laid at the door of John Scarlett when he became MI6 boss.

The New Labour regime has claimed that Downing Street did not insert the 45-minute claim against the wishes of spy chiefs and which has proved to be true because the bosses of MI5 and MI6 agreed to the false claim to ensure the illegal and unnecessary war went ahead.

And Dr Kelly, a widely respected UN weapons expert, was found dead in woodland near his Oxfordshire home in July 2003 soon after being named as the source of a BBC report suggesting the dossier was 'sexed up' or fabricated to 'justify' the illegal Iraq invasion.

The ridiculous Hutton Report has been trashed by every professional of note and the majority of British people believe Dr Kelly was murdered to ensure his permanent silence. Norman Baker MP has reiterated time and again that Dr Kelly was murdered and most definitely did not kill himself.

Freedom of information campaigners believe they could be a step nearer discovering the truth about the dodgy dossier after the Information Commissioner ordered the publication of proposed alterations made to it between 11 and 16 September 2002.

In his worrying ruling for the New Labour regime, Mr Thomas said the release of '
comments arising from bodies other than the Defence Intelligence Staff' could not be considered a security risk'.

The Cabinet Office said it was considering the Commissioner's decision. Ministers have 35 days to decide whether to appeal to the Information Tribunal and we urge the Commissioner to reject any such appeal to pave the way for Blair, Campbell and Scarlett's eventual criminal prosecution on the grounds of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, misleading Parliament and war crimes.
